This week we have had a very quiet week thanks to the Bank Holiday on Monday.

On Tuesday, the group at the LiveWell Dementia Hub in Thornaby, we welcomed Julie from Living Active, who is working with us on our mobility, coordination and confidence to enable us to live as independently as we can for as long as we can. We squeeze balls, pull on rubber bands and do a lot of marching!

Nobody came to the group held at Grangefield this week. We hope people try it soon or we will have to cancel another group.

Thursday, at Eaglescliffe Community Center, the theme was ‘Sounds’. The first half of the session the group took part in recognising Animal, Vehicle and Object sounds followed in the second half of the session with 80’s TV themes.

Friday was our monthly Musical Memories Singing Circle at Thornaby’s Livewell Dementia Hub. It is a popular and fun-filled session of singing with Trish on the guitar. This week she was accompanied by Beth on the violin.  Our sing-a-long songs included a Beetle’s classic – ‘All My Loving’, ‘Clementine’, ‘How Much is that Doggy in the Window’, ‘The Fields of Athenry’ and ‘Tulips from Amsterdam’, to name a few. We also had the added bonus of percussion instrument accompaniment to the sing along to ‘Twist and Shout‘ and ‘La Bamba‘.

Next week we have Circus Skills in Billingham to look forward to – always great fun!
